About the author

Nikki Acuff

DMSc, MSPAS, PA-C

Nikki Acuff, DMSc, MSPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Associate and the founder of Regen Ortho & Wellness, a non-surgical orthopedic and wellness practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She writes and reviews educational content for Regen Ortho & Wellness to help patients better understand their conditions, their treatment options, and what to realistically expect from non-surgical and regenerative approaches to musculoskeletal care.

“I believe in evaluating the whole patient, not treating a single symptom in isolation.”

Nikki’s experience across neurosurgery, emergency medicine, urgent care, and regenerative medicine has shaped how she approaches patient care today—looking at the full picture and explaining medical information in a way that’s clear, useful, and realistic.

Clinical
Background

Nikki brings more than six years of clinical experience spanning neurosurgery, emergency medicine, urgent care, and regenerative medicine.

That range of experience shapes how she cares for patients, with an emphasis on evaluating the whole patient rather than treating a single symptom in isolation, and on explaining medical information in a way that’s clear and useful rather than overly technical. Her time in neurosurgery and emergency medicine, in particular, gave her a close look at what happens when musculoskeletal pain and injury go unaddressed or are managed only with temporary fixes, an experience that continues to inform how she evaluates patients today.

Education & Ongoing Learning

Nikki holds a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS), and has contributed to research published in the peer-reviewed journal World Neurosurgery. Her commitment to continued education and evidence-informed medicine guides the care she provides at Regen Ortho & Wellness.

As the field of regenerative and orthobiologic medicine continues to evolve, Nikki stays current on emerging research and shifting regulatory guidance so that the information she shares with patients reflects where the evidence actually stands.

Her Approach to Patient Education

Whether she’s talking with a patient in the exam room or reviewing information shared here, Nikki’s goal is the same: to give patients accurate, balanced information so they can make informed decisions about their own care.

She avoids overstating what any treatment can do, and she aims to be transparent about what current evidence does and doesn’t support, including for the regenerative and orthobiologic therapies offered at Regen Ortho & Wellness. Articles on this site aim to explain not just what a treatment involves, but who it may be appropriate for, what it won’t promise, and what questions are worth asking during a consultation.

Clinical Interests

Nikki’s clinical interests center on non-surgical approaches to joint pain and soft-tissue injury, including orthobiologic therapies such as PRP, A2M, and BMAC, along with the role that ultrasound guidance, lab-based wellness evaluation, and peptide therapy can play in an individualized treatment plan.

She is especially passionate about helping patients understand whether appropriate non-surgical options may exist as part of their care, grounded in a fresh look at their case.

In the Practice

Nikki sees patients directly at Regen Ortho & Wellness, where she personally leads every consultation and treatment plan rather than handing patients off to a rotating team.
